Most Inspiring Films

Yesterday American Film Institute announced the list of Top 100 inspirational films in the group's annual top-100 TV special that aired on CBS. Frank Capra's 1943 classic 'It's a wonderful life' got the Top spot followed by 'To Kill a Mocking Bird' (1962). The list was chosen from 300 nominated films on ballots sent to 1,500 filmmakers, actors, critics and others in Hollywood.

Spielberg landed 3 films in the top 10: "Schindler's list" (No,.3), "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" (No. 6) and "Saving Private Ryan" (No. 10), while Capra got 2: "It's a wonderful Life" (No.1) and "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" (No. 5).
