White House Down

After 'Olympus Has Fallen', here is another 2013 action drama on White House and its main occupant.  'White House Down' is about an assault on the White House by a paramilitary group. A Secret Service agent is tasked with saving the life of the U.S. President after the White House is overtaken by that group.

The film's screenplay is by James Vanderbilt and stars Channing Tatum (as John Cale, a US Capitol Police officer), Jamie Foxx (as James Sawyer, the President of United States), and Maggie Gyllenhaal (as Carol Finnerty, a Secret Service agent).

The movie is directed by Roland Emmerich whose illustrious career includes direction of supernatural fantasies 'Making Contact' (1986) and 'Ghost Chase' (1987), and the straight-to-video action film 'Moon 44' (1990) as well as writing credits of 'Independence Day' (2013), '2012' (2009), '10000 BC' (2008).

'White House Down' runs for 132 minutes.
